The Amazing Adventures of Thomas and Erin with Granddad - Market Day by John Vasey

"The Amazing Adventures of Thomas and Erin with Granddad - Market Day" (ISBN 1456411276), a children's picture book by John Vasey, tells of young Thomas and Erin's trip to town with their beloved Granddad.

Inspired by Vasey's experiences with his own grandchildren, the real-life Thomas and Erin, the book tells of the children's fun with their beloved grandfather in simple words and bright, colorful illustrations. They know that he can make any day an adventure! When the trip to the market doesn't go as planned, the trio discovers new ways to create their own fun by visiting the bookstore for stories and to look at the fish, viewing pretty flowers at the florist's shop and taking a delightful walk along the river.

"The book is a simple one with vivid colors and basic characters," says Vasey. "It provides an entertaining tale that any granddad can read to his grandchildren."

Written to engage and entertain, the book is designed for children five and under. Young readers will identify with the children's relationship with their grandfather, who loves spending time with them and provides a gentle and kind guide to the world around them.

"The Amazing Adventures of Thomas and Erin with Granddad - Market Day" is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.

Warren Spector Pays Further Tribute to Disney History with Sequel

Disney Interactive Studios today announced the development of “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two”, the sequel to the critically acclaimed and commercially successful “Disney Epic Mickey” video game.  In “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two”, gamers will play as Mickey Mouse and for the first time ever, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first cartoon star, in an all-new adventure of creativity and discovery. Created by video game industry luminary Warren Spector and Disney Interactive’s Junction Point game development studio, “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” returns the franchise to the Wii™ system from Nintendo, and expands it to new HD consoles including the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
“Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions.  But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners - Mickey with his magical paint brush that allows him to wield paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity.   This new co-op play further enhances the idea that “PlayStyle Matters” – a unique approach to gameplay pioneered by Warren Spector where players dynamically tackle different challenges in order to explore all possibilities and storylines, but with consequences for their chosen actions.
Staying true to Disney’s rich musical heritage, “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” is the first video game that can be described as a “musical.” At many points throughout the adventure, characters will advance the plot by expressing themselves in song, with all-original music and lyrics.  In addition to this distinctive musical approach to storytelling, players will hear tunes and instrumentation that change based on their personal choices, ultimately allowing each player to “conduct” their own unique soundtrack.  Disney Interactive has enlisted the help of Emmy award-winning composer James Dooley and noted lyricist Mike Himelstein to create these musical gameplay elements.
The magic of Disney will not only resonate through the game’s musical numbers, but also through the introduction of authentic Disney Character Voices talent who provide player direction through genuine character dialogue.  In “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two,” all characters—most notably Oswald The Lucky Rabbit whose voice will be heard for the first time—will communicate by speaking to the player.

TV programme “TEENAGE FAIRYTALE DROPOUTS” PREMIERES ON 7TWO January 2013The pumpkin carriage ride of your life “Teenage Fairytale Dropouts” from Australia’s SLR Productions premieres on 7TWO at 7.00am from Monday January 28, 2013. Airing weekdays, the series will be broadcast until Friday March 1, 2013.

The high-definition flash-animated series tells the story of Jeremiah, Fury and Trafalgar, three best friends and second generation fairytale characters who are determined to be themselves, – no matter what their well-known fairytale parents think about it.

Jeremiah may be the son of The Giant from Jack and the Beanstalk but that doesn’t mean he’s going to follow in his father’s enormous footsteps, stomping villages and eating people. Besides, he still has some growing up to do, literally. Jeremiah may be a tween but he’s still waiting for his “giant” growth spurt.

And Fury may be the daughter of the Tooth Fairy but dental remuneration is not in her future — “way too creepy”. Plus, there’s the embarrassing fact that her fairy wings haven’t…ah… sprouted yet. Then there’s Trafalgar, one of Merlin’s many nephews, who actually has potential — if he just didn’t lack so much focus in his hocus pocus.

Together this trio is out to prove that even in the wacky, up-side-down, unexpected world of Fairytale Estates - you can be your own giant, fairy or wizard - as long as you have your friends along for the “souped-up” pumpkin carriage ride of your life.

The series is a co-production between Anima Estudios, SLR Productions, Home Plate Entertainment and Telegael.
