The Education Expo™ on 14 and 15 June at Rosehill Racecourse Event Centre is a powerhouse of information on everything educational.

Showgoers can talk with learning specialists on topics such as brain function, financial literacy for young people, tutoring, early childhood education, performing arts, numeracy, literacy, intelligent toys, music and much more.

Convenor, Dr Linda Vining, describes the expo as an intellectual hub with learning environments to engage students of all ages in mind games. There is a polarity workshop, a chess tournament, a maths challenge, an art studio, and hands-on interaction with new educational software.

“This large spectacular, award-winning community event brings together everything educational for a weekend, including preschools and schools who want to talk to parents about their services and scholarships, government bodies and community organisations with services for families,” said Dr Vining.

Learning resources for the home as well as the classroom are on show, plus innovative tools for teaching children with learning difficulties, opportunities for the gifted and talented, alongside advice on study skills, student assessment and outdoor education.

Community services such as the Asthma Foundation, Centre for Autism, Dyslexia, and Guide Dogs have educational packages to show.

In the Wellbeing For Learning area visitors can collect free healthy food samples and also test their child’s hearing, eyesight, feet and spine.
