F for fashion: teens tell dads to smarten up
Does your dad get an F for fashion? Is he the King of the tragic barbecue apron or the desperately lame dad jokes? Or does his dancing leave small children and the elderly alarmed? Then you need to Dob in your Dad!
Research from Specsavers has revealed that 98% of Australian teenagers think their dad is daggy, with fashion sense hitting the top of the cringe list. Three quarters think their dad should do something about it and say their dad needs an image overhaul.
To help turn dads from drab to fab, the team at Specsavers is encouraging teens to enter their dad in the Specsavers Dob in a Dad competition if they think their dad needs help with improving his daggy ways.
The Specsavers Dob in a Dad competition sees the retailer team up with international fashion designer Jeff Banks to find the Aussie dad most in need of help in the style stakes. The winner will be flown to London to take part in a fabulous personal style session with Jeff Banks himself.
The prize package for the winner includes a return flight to London, accommodation for five nights and a style session with the Godfather of British style and Specsavers ambassador, Jeff Banks. They will also receive $1,000 spending money, a Jeff Banks suit and two pairs of Jeff Banks Specsavers glasses.
The Specsavers Dob in a Dad competition is open for dads or for their family to enter on their behalf. Entries are now open online at specsavers.com.au/competition until 12 January 2011.
The new Specsavers Jeff Banks range is available now and includes sophisticated, tailored styles with retro and contemporary shapes and designs.
