Get competitive, or just get out and enjoy some fresh winter air by joining in the annual 7km BayRun around the shores of the Iron Cove in Sydney’s inner west – one of Sydney’s favourite running tracks.
Serious runners, casual strollers, even dog owners are all welcome to participate in the BayRun which kicks off at 8.00am at Leichhardt Park. As befits the inner west, great coffee and breakfast is available from 6.30am.
There are cash prizes for the major categories and a 2km event for school kids. You can even enter your dog in the coveted “Fastest Dog in the Inner West” Challenge. All participants receive a “goodie bag”.
The 7km distance makes the BayRun a perfect lead up race for the City to Surf in August or a training event for the Blackmore’s Running Festival. The race is professionally organized, with electronic timing equipment, proper event marshalling and road closures.
There is also a professional and fun pre-race warm up for everyone and massage is available afterwards.
