This February, Oceanworld Manly will be hosting a birthday bash for one of their resident Grey Nurse Sharks, Murdoch, who is turning five.
Set to take place Sunday 12 February, kids of all ages are invited to help make Murdoch’s big day a memorable one with a variety of fun activities taking place at the attraction. The event will run from 10:00am – 12:00pm with kids and parents alike able to enjoy birthday face painting, party games and participate in a rendition of happy birthday for the birthday boy, whose fierce looks disguise his Labrador-like personality. While kids tuck into the free ice cream on offer, Murdoch will enjoy his very own birthday feed.
To mark Murdoch’s milestone, Oceanworld will offer free entry for kids with a full paying adult between 10:00am and 11:30am, as well as a lucky dip during the event.

Murdoch was born into captivity at Oceanworld Manly and his fifth birthday highlights the ongoing success of the attraction’s breeding program for Grey Nurse Sharks, who have in recent years suffered rapid decline in their natural environment due to habitat destruction.
