It’s never really Christmas without Carols in Halliday Park
This year on the 19th December will mark the 20th annual Carols in Halliday Park, with the special guest’s entrance still leaving families guessing! A night always full of entertainment, carols, festive foods, glow sticks and of course- an appearance from you know who- this family event brings a troop of 5,000 to McGrath Avenue, Five Dock annually, to join in the fun and raise money for a great cause.
The City of Canada Bay charity Communities for Communities is holding the event to raise money to help families in overseas communities get off rubbish dumps and into decent homes.
There will be sausages on the barbeque from 6:00pm thanks to the generous people at the Five Dock and Drummoyne Rotary clubs cooking up a storm, with added festive foods donated by the local IGA at Abbotsford. The St Patrick’s Rugby Club is also a supporter of the event, and together with the volunteers on the night, will show you a good time and give a sense of what an active and generous community the City of Canada Bay really is.
Eveready will be lighting up our sky with their thousands of candles, along with some festive glow sticks and the famous surrounding McGrath Avenue lights, the perfect setting for an ice cream with the kids while you sing along to your favourite Christmas carols.
