The traditional Carols on the Bay, hosted by the Royal Australian Navy and supported by Woollahra Council, will be held on the magnificent grounds of HMAS Watson, Watsons Bay on Saturday 3 December 2011.
Local area Sydneysiders are welcome to the base overlooking Sydney Harbour to share the Christmas spirit. There will be carols and music from the RAN Band, a special appearance from Santa, as well as food stalls, a mobile petting farm, a sausage sizzle, story telling and face painting to entertain the kids.
Local school students will sing a number of songs before the Navy Band takes to the stage, performing a selection of traditional carols and modern Christmas songs. There will also be a marching display, and a special ceremonial sunset where a volley of blank cartridges will be fired.
Gates open from 4pm and will finish with a Ceremonial Sunset at 8pm. Come along to this fantastic community event for a great night out for the entire family.
