Jane Caro will introduce her book Just a Girl at the Teenage Reading Group Author Talk from 4pm, Thursday 17 November at Artarmon Library. A coming of age story about Elizabeth I and her rise to power at the tender age of 25, Just a Girl follows the young princess’ journey as she fights to survive her enemies and compete with her two half-siblings for Britain’s throne. Experiencing tragedy and danger at almost every turn, Elizabeth develops a sense of courage and determination that will lead her to be of the most successful British Monarchs of all time.
Enjoying a successful career as a freelance copywriter, lecturer, author and media commentator, Jane Caro has won a number of awards for her creative work and runs her own communications consultancy, Jara Consulting. Jane is also on the Boards of The Public Education Foundation and Bell Shakespeare.
Bookings are not required for this event. Teenage Reading Group meetings are held from 3.45pm – 4.45pm on the third Thursday of every month at Artarmon Library, 2 Elizabeth Street, Artarmon. |
